Calvin is a percussionist who was born and raised in the Denver scene.

After taking a liking to music at a young age, Calvin played in as many ensembles as possible with genres ranging from classical orchestra to math rock. While attending the Denver School of the Arts, Calvin had the opportunity to surround himself with other artistically-driven students. Together, they formed many different ensembles that allowed Calvin to play around town and gain experience playing regularly, whether it be at a concert hall, music festival, club, or a low volume presentation at a coffee shop or art gallery. In continued pursuit of a career in music, Calvin moved out to Eugene, OR to obtain Jazz Studies degree at the University of Oregon. Working closely with masters of the craft such as Gary Hobbes, Calvin honed his skills, working out the intricacies and different flavors of jazz. Today, Calvin plays with ensembles around Denver and tours with groups around the country.
